In order to help with your Compass Course Calculations we have written a Microsoft Excel Application.

Our Excel App. will calculate your Compass Course (Cº). Or, If you know your Compass Compass Course (Cº), you can easily find your required True Heading (Tº).

Use our Excel App. at Passage Planning stage and/or when you are underway.

Our App. explains the reasoning behind the calculations and also provides for you to store your calculations as you work on your Passage Plan and/or following leaving Port.

Passage Planners - Notes on Ordering

We do not want you to pay more for Postage and Packing (P&P) than you absolutely need to.

So please be aware that when you place an order with us, the P&P charge is selected by you, depending where the delivery is to made; at the end of your order and prior to payment.

Irrespective of how many items you add to your order, the P&P charge is the same, so if you order one item or many items, the P&P charge is the same i.e a single charge.

We are making this clear to our customers as we sometimes find that you order a particular item and pay for P&P and then order a further item and pay another P&P. This makes our products look too expensive!

Generally we are able to to realise this when we receive your orders and, as we don’t want you to waste your hard earned money on additional P&P prior to dispatch by us, we are almost always able to combine your orders into one delivery and send to you as one package. The Postage and Packaging will reflect the correct type and value for the combined order.

In this situation we will always refund the unused P&P in the form of a Paypal credit to you. We will advise you of this when we confirm dispatch of your order.

We hope that this makes our policy clear and is helpful to you. So if you are ordering several items, please order them at the same time and check out with one delivery charge only.

Thanks

New - Wire bound planning form books

Posted on 16th June, 2021

We are pleased to announce the introduction of our Wire bound passage planning, pilotage planning and Port of Refuge planning forms bound into three books.

Each wire bound book contains many pages on which you can plan your passages and either keep them for future reference or use, or erase them for reuse on your next passage.

Each form requests the same details as our encapsulated forms and, although the forms are not water proof, they may be used on deck in a waterproof see through chart/map case to keep them safe, and to easily refer to them during your sea passage. They can easily be revised during your passage, if required either below deck, or above deck if dry conditions are experienced.

Our wire bound books will benefit you insofar as they are printed on thick paper (200 gsm) and are ‘Lay flat’ for easy completion and amendment. Furthermore they are easily erased and can be used more than once, if required. They are currently published in English - 3 Colour Background.

Each book is protected by a clear plastic acetate cover to the front and an opaque cover to the back. Additionally there is a thick laminated card cover to front and back.

The forms may be written on with a B grade pencil and erased with a good quality plastic eraser as recommended for our other products.

With care in erasing, each form can be used several times.
